THE STORY BEHIND ELEVATED NUMBERS
It started with
one student.
A parent of a student I taught reached out to let me know that
her daughter loved how I taught math but felt like she needed
more time and support outside of the classroom.
During our sessions, it was clear she needed confidence,
she needed support, and she needed someone to believe in her.
As her math skills improved, our conversations naturally expanded
beyond math. We talked about school, friendships, goals and
the challenges that come with being a teen.
Sometimes the most important
part of our session was when
we went “off task.”
Those little moments were creating ripples in their progress.
I started out as a math tutor who was sometimes “off task,” but I knew
those conversations mattered. I started to get real with parents and let
them know my approach. That’s when it evolved into Elevated Numbers.
Now, some families find me for math, and others find me for overall
personal growth. Wherever we begin, my goal is the same — to help
teens build confidence, develop the skills they need and create
brighter futures.
